The venue is a temporary facility constructed especially for the open water swimming event. It is located on the left bank of the Kazanka River in a historical part of the city of Kazan, near the Kazan Kremlin and the Palace of Farmers, in a dynamically developing area of the city, which makes it accessible to spectators and tourists.
