Swimming, diving and water polo tournaments kick off at FINA Masters in Kazan

The 16th FINA World Championships are coming to the logical conclusion tonight. However, it does not mean that sports fans will say farewell to sporting events. The World Masters Championships get well underway.

35 medal events in synchronised swimming and open water swimming have already been held. 955 Masters athletes and persons accompanying them have already arrived in Kazan. A total of 2,639 athletes form 71 countries are expected to arrive. The water polo tournament is scheduled to be held between August 10 and 16 at the swimming pools Olymp and Burevestnik. As for the swimming events, they are to be held in the Burevestnik Swimming Pool and the Aquatics Palace on the same dates, August 10-16, whereas diving is to be hosted in the Aquatics Palace from August 12 to August 14. 

The FINA Water World Park will host the World Masters Championships Opening Ceremony on August 10 and the Closing Ceremony on August 16. The Park is located between the Kazan Arena Stadium and the Aquatics Palace. Admission to the Park is free of charge. During the Masters tournament, the Park will still be open to the public. The working hours for August 10-16 are the same: from 12:00 to 22:00.
